i just think this flower couldn’t be any prettier. i love it. this picture is kind of funny to me… ok, it’s not funny, but there is a small story behind it… although it might not be the most interesting story of all time. Anyway, my girlfriend and I applied to rent this apartment, but the property manager was an asshole and didn’t even give us a fair chance at the thing. I could tell by the look in his eyes that he had no intention of letting us rent the apartment. but the bastard took our $15 fee (which was a lot to us at the time), and led us on for a week or so. I’m pretty sure he didn’t let us have the place because we weren’t married, we were young, etc. not good for property value. When you’re renting out an apartment you really want a 50 year old single woman. They’re the best. Not going to cause trouble. Not going to have loud music playing at all hours of the night. not going to bring in any rift-raft or drugs or anything else that might bring down the property value. so, anyway. needless to say we didn’t get the apartment. whatever. but we did get an apartment 3 blocks away (hell yeah). One day I was walking by that apartment that we didn’t get while on my my way to the beach (which is within a block of this place… god I wanted to live there) and I saw the asshole planting beautiful flowers outside the complex. Didn’t think much of it, but a month or two later I walked by and the flowers he had planted had really flourished and looked awesome. Anyway, this is one of those flowers. It kind of makes me feel better that I had to step into his flowerbed to take this picture. I could have destroyed his flowers, but I didn’t. I was nice, and gave respect. He did well with the flowerbed, and, in retrospect, if it were me trying to fill a vacancy in an apartment complex within one block of the pacific ocean, I wouldn’t let a couple of random 25 year-olds have it either. I’d give it to a nice 50 year-old. That’s my rant. Use this on your myspace page… it’s free for the taking. have fun. use drugs (if they’re prescribed by your doctor). Just say no to drugs. peace out.
